María Fernanda Acuña Báez

María Fernanda has experience in Labor and Employment litigation and advisory matters, counseling domestic and foreign companies on labor and social security matters. Her practice focuses primarily on representing employers before local and federal conciliation and arbitration boards, labor courts, and conciliation centers, as well as on conducting labor proceedings at all stages and preparing and prosecuting amparo proceedings.

She also advises clients on the drafting and review of employment agreements and terminations, settlement agreements before the competent authorities, internal policies, and compliance with Mexican Official Standards (Normas Oficiales Mexicanas). Her experience includes audits of labor structures and the analysis of labor matters related to the establishment, expansion, or restructuring of operations in Mexico, including due diligence processes in the context of mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
