Gus Corbella, Senior Director in Greenberg Traurig’s Government Law & Policy Practice, advises clients on legislative, regulatory, and public policy matters at the state and federal levels. With more than 30 years of experience in government, politics, and public affairs, Gus provides strategic counsel to a diverse range of state, national, and global clients navigating complex government and public policy challenges.

Gus brings deep firsthand experience from senior positions within Florida government and the U.S. Congress. Before joining Greenberg Traurig in 2004, he served as Chief of Staff to the President of the Florida Senate and as Director of the Majority Offices of both the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives. He also worked in the United States Congress and as a senior advisor to a presidential campaign.

His experience at the highest levels of government provides Gus with a practical understanding of the legislative and regulatory process and the perspectives of policymakers, government agencies, and other stakeholders. He works with clients to develop and execute strategies with the goals of addressing government and public policy issues, identifying opportunities, and navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and political environment.

Gus is regularly recognized as one of Florida’s 100 most influential people in politics by Influence magazine. His practice draws on longstanding relationships and a deep understanding of Florida government, as well as experience navigating issues before state agencies, the executive branch, the Florida Legislature, and the federal government.
