How NOT to Do Reductions in Force, International Labor and Employment Law Committee

Thomas Timmermans will be speaking at the International Labor and Employment Law Committee on May 4th in Amsterdam. Thomas will be a part of the panel "How NOT to Do Reductions in Force." This panel will focus on the strategies and best practices for implementing layoffs including legal considerations, the importance of developing a clear plan, effective internal and external communication strategies, as well as alternative cost-cutting measures. Whilst there are no good solutions in a RIF situation, there are ways to minimize the negative impact and be respectful and fair with the process as highlighted by recent media reports and the panel will examine the approaches taken by different companies like P&O Ferries in the UK and Twitter across the pond.
