Recognized for excellence by judges, peers, and clients, Bridget is an experienced legal counselor and trial lawyer, specializing in business and employment disputes. She has represented clients in industries including: sports nutrition, nutraceutical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, retail, medical, banking, loan servicing, title insurance, hospitality (hotel, restaurant and clubs), real estate, construction, online education, aviation and domestic help.

Since 2012, Bridget has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, and in 2015 and 2019 was named “Lawyer of the Year” in employment law. Since 2012, Bridget has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer, and since 2013 as a Florida Top Lawyer. In 2017, Bridget was listed as a Florida “Legal Elite” in Labor and Employment. She has been recognized as a Top Lawyer by Palm Beach Illustrated since the award’s inception in 2018. She has consistently been rated AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5.0 and as an Preeminent Woman Lawyer by Martindale Hubbell.

Bridget is on the Executive Trustees Counsel and serves on the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, where she currently serves on the Strategic Global Outreach Program and Community Events Trask Force. A Florida native, Bridget is committed to the law and to the prosperity of Palm Beach County.

Additionally, Bridget has been recognized for her leadership as a mentor and in providing pro bono service at Greenberg Traurig and in Palm Beach County. She was awarded The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award in 2013 for her leadership and initiative in developing the GT Independent Living Review Project serving foster care children through The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Bridget continues to serve both on the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and on the 15th Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee of the Florida Bar.

Bridget’s commitment to diversity is reflected in her long-time service as a judge in the Palm Beach Post Palm Beach/Martin County Pathfinder Scholarship Fund Awards (history and political science category), service on the Palm Beach County Bar Association Diversity Mentoring Committee, service as Chair for the “Raise the Bar” benefit for the Girl’s Leadership Institute, and membership in the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Palm Beach County Chapter.

Bridget has served on various Palm Beach County Bar Association Committees, including the Business Court Committee. Bridget currently co-chairs the Bar’s Judicial Relations Committee, and since 2014, Bridget has served as president of the Guild of Catholic Lawyers of the Diocese of Palm Beach, annually chairing the Guild’s signature event, The Red Mass of the Holy Spirit and Fellowship Brunch, as well as other Guild projects throughout the years.

From 1994 to 2013, Bridget served in many leadership positions for United Way of Palm Beach County, including the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Oversight Committee, Strategical Planning Task Force Committee, Women’s Leadership Counsel, Campaign Cabinet, Community Input Steering Committee and Leadership Circle. Bridget was General Counsel for United Way from 2002-2006, and Chaired the Improving Lives of Seniors Impact Area from 2006-2009.

Experience

  • In dispute involving litigation in U.S. and Europe against clients, affiliated companies and their officers and directors spanning a period of twelve years, obtained Florida state court jury verdict for multi-level marketing company and related nutrition supplement companies on breach of contract claims, and defeated employee’s counterclaim for over $200 million in damages on fraud, racketeering, conspiracy and other claims.
  • Obtained state court jury verdict and attorneys’ fees award for condominium unit owners against condominium association for breach of statutory and common law duties to maintain condominium property.
  • Obtained federal court jury verdict for $3 million in compensatory damages and an additional $1.5 million against each of three defendants in a case involving fraudulent inducement and conduct in violation of the Federal Securities Act.
  • Defended commercial shopping center owners in litigation brought by neighboring residential property owners, obtaining partial judgments resulting in settlement favorable to client.
  • Defended credit card transaction processor in action relating to merchant accounts and chargeback transactions on internet sales, resulting in settlement favorable to client.
