Andrzej Granat is a member of the Energy & Natural Resources practice. Possessing deep experience in energy law, he has been involved in providing energy-related regulatory advice and advising clients in connection with M&A transactions in the energy sector, particularly in the areas of heat, renewable energy sources (photovoltaic installations, energy storage facilities, offshore and onshore wind projects), natural gas and liquid fuels. He has represented clients before regulatory and administrative bodies as well as before common courts. Andrzej also has experience in providing advice on public procurement law to contracting authorities and contractors.

  • Advised Fortum in connection with the acquisition of Orange Energia, a subsidiary of Orange Polska engaged in the sale of electricity to end users, including households and small and medium-sized enterprises.°
  • Advised PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna in the implementation of a multi-phase investment project involving the construction of an offshore wind farm with a planned capacity of approximately 1.5 GW.°
  • Advised PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna on the formation of a joint venture of PGE and ZE PAK S.A. in order to develop a nuclear power plant.°
  • Advised Electrum in connection with the negotiations of various agreements related to certain joint venture arrangements between Electrum and Nofar Europe B.V.°
  • Advised PGNiG in connection with the purchase of a controlling stake in Ukrainian company Karpatgazvydobuvannya from Energy Resources of Ukraine Management Services.°
  • Advised PGNiG in negotiating a number of gas sales agreements for natural gas from the Norwegian Continental Shelf to be delivered via the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline through Denmark to Poland.°
  • Advised Brookfield in energy law aspects related to its investment in Polenergia.°
  • Advised PGE Energia Ciepła in consolidation of its heating assets.°
  • Advised a fund controlled by Aberdeen Standard Investments on its acquisitions and refinancing of a portfolio of photovoltaic projects.°
