Juliana Laurello has worked in our Amsterdam and Washington, D.C. offices, representing domestic and international clients in a broad range of litigation and commercial matters. As a cross-border litigator, she has advised on a variety of issues relating to international dispute resolution (including issues relating to foreign sovereign immunity) and complex commercial litigation. Juliana has broad experience negotiating and drafting contracts for international clients, and she routinely advises and advocates on behalf of foreign governments on national security policy and foreign affairs issues involving Congress and the administration.

Juliana also regularly counsels clients on the full spectrum of compliance issues, including the development and execution of comprehensive compliance procedures and plans. She serves as the firm’s primary attorney on advice and counsel relating to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

  • Deposed plaintiff and drafted summary judgment motion on behalf of financial services client resulting in dismissal of five-count complaint involving alleged wrongful foreclosure and consumer protection claims (D.C. Super. Ct. 2012).
  • Drafted motion for judgment on the pleadings as to common law wrongful termination claim based on adequate statutory remedy, 2013 WL 6157266 (D. Or. 2013).
  • Drafted motion for partial summary judgment on behalf of commercial client for breach of contract (D. Md. 2013).
