Greenberg Traurig advises joint venture led by PineBridge Benson Elliot on majority investment in more than 1,000 apartments in Berlin

Greenberg Traurig has advised a consortium of joint venture partners on the acquisition of a majority interest in a residential real estate portfolio in Berlin. The joint venture is led by PineBridge Benson Elliot, a pan-European real estate fund manager based in the UK.

The 77,000-square-foot portfolio includes more than 1,000 historic and neoclassical apartments in excellent locations in Berlin. The transaction was executed through a multi-layer joint venture structure together with SURPLUS Equity Partners and Fundament Advisory.

Greenberg Traurig's international team of attorneys provided comprehensive advice to the joint venture on all legal aspects of the acquisition and financing, the joint venture and the cross-border structuring across five jurisdictions of Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the UK.
