Samir NeJame Named to City & State’s 2026 ‘Who’s Who in Sports’

ALBANY, N.Y. – June 10, 2026 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Samir NeJame, chair of the New York State Government Law & Policy Practice, has been named to City & State’s 2026 “Who’s Who in Sports” list, recognizing his critical work at the intersection of athletics, politics, and economic development.

As outside counsel to the NY/NJ World Cup Host Committee, and the legal force behind major transformations like Belmont Park and UBS Arena, NeJame has wide-ranging experience in New York government relations.

Major sports and entertainment projects aren't just built; they are navigated through complex regulatory and legislative landscapes. For decades, NeJame has helped lead the policy strategies that make these developments possible.

As a former corporation counsel for one of New York’s big five cities, NeJame has been retained by many of New York’s municipalities, including Westchester County and the City of Rochester, to help guide them through the corridors of the State Capitol. Additionally, he has represented many of New York’s iconic tourist destinations, including the New York Botanical Garden, all of the ski resorts throughout New York state, and the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association.

NeJame has a particular focus on representing the New York real estate industry, including the Real Estate Board of New York, along with SL Green, Brookfield, and Tishman Speyer, three of the country’s largest landlords. He also represents a wide variety of clients in their procurement engagements with New York’s many agencies in the areas of technology, security, and professional services.
