Kelly Dobbs Bunting to Present at SHRM 2022 Annual Conference

NEW ORLEANS – June 1, 2022 – Labor & Employment Shareholder Kelly Dobbs Bunting of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will be a presenter at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2022 Annual Conference taking place June 12-15 in New Orleans and virtually.

Bunting will present “The Clash of Religious Objection and LGBTQ Rights in the Workplace” June 14 at 10:30 a.m. She will discuss how existing and newly enacted LGBTQ workplace protections interact with employees who object to diversity training or workplace policies based on their religious beliefs as well as The Religious Freedom Restoration Act and other laws.

SHRM promotes the role of human resources as a profession and provides education, certification, and networking to its members, while lobbying Congress on issues pertinent to labor management, according to the society.

A shareholder in the firm’s Philadelphia office, Bunting is a frequent speaker on nearly all aspects of and trends in employment litigation and counseling at national and international conferences. She most recently presented at both the SHRM Talent Conference & Expo 2021 and the 2022 SHRM Annual Employment Law & Compliance Conference.

Bunting serves as co-chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice’s Workplace Compliance & Counseling Group. She litigates federal and state class and collective actions alleging wage and hour violations, misclassification, overtime, minimum wage, and off-the-clock work. Bunting also defends employers around the country in single-plaintiff litigation involving gender, age, disability, race, national origin, religious, and pregnancy discrimination; harassment and retaliation; whistleblower claims; theft of trade secrets; breach of duty; breach of employment agreements; and restrictive covenants.
