BOSTON – Sept. 14, 2022 – Mian R. Wang, a Litigation shareholder in the Boston office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at Practicing Law Institute’s Women Lawyers in Leadership 2022 event on Sept. 14 in New York City.
Wang will present on the panel “Best Leadership Practices for Women Lawyers” at 3:30 pm EDT. The session will discuss building and developing a network, communicating effectively, how to gain and keep respect, and effective management skills.
Wang focuses her practice on high-stakes business litigation. She represents public and private companies, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals before state and federal courts in complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation. She has deep experience handling matters related to breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, preference claims, UCC secured transactions, negligence, and fraudulent transfers.
In addition, Wang also has experience representing financial institutions in litigation involving claims brought under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and Massachusetts unfair and deceptive trade practices. Her practice covers multiple disciplines and industries, including education, health care, event management, startup firms, financial institutions, and commercial finance and asset management firms.
Wang has been recognized as an “Emerging Women Leaders in the Law” by the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts, was named among the “40 Under 40” in 2020 by the Boston Business Journal, selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, and selected as “Ones to Watch” by The Best Lawyers in America.
