ATLANTA – Feb. 17, 2023 – Taryn W. Harper, an associate at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was recognized as a “Rising Star” at the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Leaders in Corporate Citizenship Awards celebration Feb. 16.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Corporate Citizenship Awards “honor individuals who have shown a strong commitment to corporate responsibility practices and are actively engaged in supporting and expanding those efforts in Georgia.”
Harper is actively involved in community organizations, including the Atlanta Legal Aid Society and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Her clients include members of the transgender community looking to legally change their names and gender markers, such as driver’s licenses, birth certificates, social security cards, and passports. Harper also works with pro bono clients on landlord-tenant matters and provides pro bono assistance to Ukrainian refugees applying for Temporary Protected Status.
In addition to Harper receiving the “Rising Star” recognition from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, she has also been recognized as a DRI Young Lawyers Steering Committee “Unsung Hero” and an Atlanta Legal Aid Society “Pro Bono Star.”
Harper focuses her practice on products liability litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. She has experience with products liability matters in both state and federal courts, including single plaintiff actions and mass tort actions involving a variety of products and medical issues.
