Greenberg Traurig Honored at Euromoney ‘Women in Business Law Awards Americas’ 2022

NEW YORK – June 15, 2022 – Three attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP were recognized as “Attorney of the Year” at the Euromoney Legal Media Group’s “Women in Business Law Awards Americas 2022.” Presented in person June 9, the awards also named the firm U.S. - Midwest Firm of the Year.

Euromoney also shortlisted the firm in nine categories and 11 women for individual awards.

According to Euromoneythe award series “aims to honour women in the forefront of legal work in business law and those firms that have produced initiatives and programmes to support and encourage women and diversity within the industry.” Criteria include the ratio of female-to-male lawyers at all levels of seniority, the retention of women associates through to partner level, and relevant diversity initiatives. Individual winners are selected based on their professional accomplishments as well as advocacy and influence over the previous 12 months.

Bombach assists companies and organizations to lawfully export goods, technology, and services around the globe, prioritizing practical, workable strategies for complex regulatory situations. She regularly advises on export control laws (EAR and ITAR), anti-boycott laws, and economic sanctions (embargoes) maintained by the U.S. government (OFAC and other agencies) against various entities, individuals, and countries (including Iran, Cuba, and Russia). Bombach also advises on anti-corruption and anti-bribery compliance and best practices under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Ducca focuses her practice on the representation and defense of manufacturers in products liability litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical, medical device, and health care litigation. She litigates a variety of complex matters in both state and federal courts, including multidistrict litigations (MDLs) and mass torts. In addition, Ducca regularly defends major hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers in alleged medical malpractice cases.

Kramer advises clients on the protection of their intellectual property rights and establishing effective domestic and international brand management best practices. She oversees every aspect of the brand management lifecycle – mark selection, trademark prosecution, trademark use/exploitation, licensing, and enforcement/oppositions. Kramer’s practice also involves anticounterfeiting including working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to identify and seize counterfeit goods. She has experience in a broad range of litigation relating to intellectual property including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, Internet and domain name matters, contracts, and business disputes. Kramer is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado College of Engineering and Law School.
