Ohio Bar Association's 25th Annual Corporate Counsel Institute

Greenberg Traurig Shareholder, Ian C. Ballon, Co-Chair of the Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, will speak at the Ohio Bar Association's 25th Annual Corporate Counsel Institute ('CCI") on Friday, Nov. 3. The CCI provides in-house counsel and private practitioners in corporate law with insights on the evolving legal landscape impacting businesses today. This year’s CCI features updates on the rapidly evolving impact AI is having on businesses today and how it is touching multiple aspects of the business and their respective industries. Sessions will include an explanation of what AI is, AI issues in technology law, intellectual property law, privacy/cybersecurity law, employment law, health care law, legal ethics, and how these issues impact the in-house counsel and the private practitioners in corporate law in managing the risks and opportunities AI presents to businesses. 

Ballon will present on "AI Intellectual Property Issues," discussing major IP issues in AI, including Generative AI. The session will also cover data information rights as business asses, as well as when and under what circumstances third party data can be used to train AI.
