Greenberg Traurig’s Nanette Aguirre Speaks at Hispanic Bar Association-NJ 2023 Women's Empowerment Leadership and Law Conference

NEW JERSEY March 20, 2023Nanette Aguirre, a shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, spoke at the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey’s 2023 Women's Empowerment Leadership and Law Conference March 18. Her panel was entitled “Women of Wall Street: Representing and Regulating the Financial Industry.”   

The annual conference, themed “Latinas Lawyering Today and Leading for Tomorrow,” took place at Rutgers University’s Livingston Student Center. Panelists discussed hot topics in the financial and regulatory fields, including the state of the global economy post-2008 and during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. They also covered the impact of The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and corresponding regulation.

Aguirre, a member of the Corporate Practice in New York, focuses her practice on private funds and alternative investments with an emphasis on derivatives and structured products and corresponding regulation. Additionally, she works throughout the United States, Europe, and Latin America, advising banks, endowments, clearing organizations, and other financial institutions.

In 2022, Aguirre was recognized in Latin Lawyer 250, a guide to the leading business law firms of Latin America published by Latin Lawyer, for her work in the banking & finance space. A strong advocate in her community, she currently sits on the board of Minorities in Restructuring and Alternative Investments, the National Association of Securities Professionals (NY), and Angeles Investors.
