Greenberg Traurig Amsterdam Team Authors Trade Marks Chapters in 2023 Chambers Global Practice Guide

AMSTERDAM – 11 April 2023 - Greenberg Traurig, LLPAmsterdam Shareholder Radboud Ribbert and Associate Wouter van Wengen authored the Netherlands chapter in the 2023 Chambers Global Practice Guide on Trade Marks.

The authors examine modern trade mark law challenges, such as courts worldwide seeking to expand their trade mark jurisdiction outside of their current territories, and recent platform liability cases relating to trade mark enforcement. They also discuss the Digital Services Act enacted in 2022 and its potential impact on brand enforcement, as well as notable court cases from the past year.

About the authors

Ribbert, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Practice, is recognized in Chambers GlobalGuide for Intellectual Property in the Netherlands. Van Wengen is a member of the Corporate Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Amsterdam office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property law, IT contracts, and data protection law. He represents national and international clients in the creative sector, the technology industry, and a variety of other companies. Van Wengen is a member of the Dutch bar and will be admitted to the New York Bar in June 2023.
