Michael Dulin focuses on high-stakes intellectual property litigation. His practice is national in scope, and includes patent, trademark, and copyright infringement cases in numerous jurisdictions around the country. Michael’s clients range from small, closely-held companies to some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 companies. His cases involve a variety of subjects, from pharmaceuticals and oil and gas exploration technologies to consumer electronics and medical devices.
Michael has significant trial experience, including roles as first-chair counsel in jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations for clients in diverse industries such as telecommunications, software, and oilfield technology industries. His accomplishments as an intellectual property trial attorney have been well recognized.
He has been selected for inclusion in numerous lists of top intellectual property attorneys, including Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, IAM Patent 1000, and Managing Intellectual Property Magazine IP Stars. Managing IP Magazine named his as one of only six Colorado intellectual property litigators in its North American Awards 2016 short list of outstanding IP litigators.
Michael was selected to co-author the Local Patent Rules for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. On June 4, 2014, the Court adopted a pilot program to implement these new rules. He is on the roster of private mediators for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Michael formerly served as the chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Colorado Bar Association. In that role, he led an organization of over 700 intellectual property attorneys.
He also represents clients in cases involving sophisticated corporate transactions, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
