Angelika Hunnefeld is a Board Certified Specialist in International Law by The Florida Bar. She practices commercial litigation, international business arbitration and helps clients comply with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Angelika is experienced in matters involving multi-jurisdictional issues, enforcement of foreign judgments and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. She also assists clients with matters relating to issues arising under the anti-bribery and record-keeping provisions of the FCPA.

  • Represented the Government of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago in actions seeking enforcement, and defending against enforcement, of international arbitration award rendered by the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.
  • Represented clients in numerous international and domestic arbitration proceedings across different industries and before different arbitral organizations.
  • Served as litigation counsel in matters involving the enforcement and vacatur of international and domestic arbitration awards under the New York Convention, the Federal Arbitration Act and the Florida International Commercial Arbitration Act
  • Served as litigation counsel in disputes involving foreign citizens and matters of foreign law, requiring expert consultation and presentation of legal issues governed by foreign law.
  • Served as litigation counsel in matters involving discovery requests in the U.S. made in connection with foreign proceedings pending in foreign jurisdictions.
  • Monitored litigation in foreign jurisdictions for U.S. clients and served as liaison with foreign counsel.
  • Assisted major retail client in the implementation of FCPA compliance program in several Latin American countries.
  • Assisted multiple clients with anti-corruption compliance risk assessments and the implementation of FCPA compliance programs in several Latin American countries.
