Benjamin Schladweiler


Ben Schladweiler litigates complex civil and intellectual property disputes, with a particular focus on patent litigation, in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, as well as in other federal and state courts. Ben represents clients in matters arising from diverse technologies, ranging from the electronic arts (including software and semi-conductors) to pharmaceuticals to medical devices.

  • Represented two pharmaceutical companies in a 2-day bench trial concerning a generic propofol injectable emulsion product, and obtained a ruling in client's favor.°
  • Represented small semiconductor company in a 5-day patent jury trial.°
  • Represented telecommunications company in a large 14 patent case spanning various technologies.°
  • One of three trial attorneys who represented pharmaceutical company in a billion dollar patent infringement action in the District of New Jersey concerning a blockbuster drug.°
  • Represented pharmaceutical company in patent infringement litigation in the District of Delaware concerning a popular medical device.°
  • Represented pharmaceutical company in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as part of an appellate team that successfully reversed a summary judgment of non-infringement in litigation concerning a blockbuster drug.°
  • Acted as lead attorney in a prisoner civil rights suit that led to a favorable settlement for his client.°
