Urban Dream Initiative's "I, Too, Can Dream" panel

Commercial Litigation Shareholder A. Michael Pratt will be one of the national presenters sharing practical insights and strategies, as well as inspirational stories and encouragement, with area high school students. The Urban Dream Initiative serves to craft a counter narrative for a city struggling to elevate its young people of color, where Black and Latino students remain overrepresented in high school dropout rates and underrepresented in graduation rates, amid one of the deadliest years on record, with 562 victims of homicide -- and nearly 95% of those victims being people of color. In addressing attendees, Pratt and other panelists will seek to persuade young people that their current background, no matter what it is, can be used as a launch pad to success, and that there's room to set new aspirations and seize opportunities to shape a better future.
