Greenberg Traurig’s Seth Entin co-chaired a panel, “New Frontiers for Family Offices: Emerging Issues for Cross-Border Family Office Structures and Investments” during the American Bar Association 17th Annual U.S. and Latin America Tax Practice Trends Conference on June 18. The panel focused on structuring the family office entities and functions in a tax-efficient manner, issues relating to the creation of a taxable presence in a given jurisdiction, the design of investment structures to accommodate the tax profiles of family members in multiple jurisdictions, and broader tax considerations affecting globally dispersed family members.
