Deborah Stevens is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Government Law and Policy Practice in the firm’s Albany office. Deb advises clients on government relations matters, with a focus on legislative strategy, state budget advocacy, and engagement with the New York State Legislature and Executive Chamber. She represents clients across a range of sectors, including nonprofit, economic development, and hospitality, and brings nearly two decades of experience working in and around New York State government.

Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Deb served with the Assembly Majority Office of Program and Counsel, where she worked on legislative matters involving the Committees on Cities, Corporations, Authorities and Commissions, and Higher Education. In this role she supporting legislators on the development, analysis, and advancement of legislation and budget priorities. Her work involved coordinating with committee staff, state agencies, advocacy organizations, and stakeholders on a wide range of policy issues. She began her government career as an aide to former Assembly Ways and Means Chair Helene Weinstein.
