Chambliss Williams represents debtors and various stakeholders in restructuring and bankruptcy matters. She guides clients through all stages of bankruptcy proceedings, from pre-filing strategy through emergence and post-emergence issues. Her practice spans multiple jurisdictions and she works with companies across diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, oil and gas, coal, and shipping.
Chambliss handles the full spectrum of Chapter 11 matters, with particular focus on debtor-side representations. She presents first-day motions in court, including cash management and critical vendor motions, and drafts key bankruptcy pleadings such as plans of reorganization, disclosure statements, and bidding procedures. Her work includes preparing operational relief motions for wages and utilities, negotiating debtor-in-possession financing, and managing claims administration processes. Chambliss also advises corporate clients on structuring new contracts to address risks related to executory contract treatment in bankruptcy.
