3 Greenberg Traurig Shareholders Named to Crain’s Chicago Business 2026 Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law List

CHICAGO – Aug. 17, 2026 – Michael J. Baum, Meredith L. Katz, and Charles J. Kolin, shareholders in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Chicago office, were named 2026 Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law by Crain’s Chicago Business.

According to Crain’s, the 2026 Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law list recognizes individuals who reflect the breadth of Chicago’s accounting, consulting, and legal communities and their influence across the region and beyond.

Baum is co-president of Greenberg Traurig and co-chair of the firm’s Global Real Estate Practice. He has played a key role in shaping the firm’s direction and guiding the firm’s global real estate platform. Baum advises clients on real estate matters, including fund formations, joint ventures, acquisitions, developments, financings, leasing, and dispositions across a wide range of asset classes, and is known for his strategic leadership and client-focused approach.

Katz is co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Chicago office and co-chair of the firm’s Chicago Real Estate Practice. She advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and investment structures across office, residential, retail, and hospitality assets. She also counsels clients on real estate fund investments and joint venture agreements, bringing a strategic and practical approach to complex transactions.

Kolin is co-chair of the firm’s Global Finance Practice. He focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border financing transactions, advising clients on corporate, project, infrastructure, and real estate financings. He represents a broad range of institutional investors in private placements, bank credit facilities, leasing, and other complex debt transactions across industries including energy, infrastructure, real estate, and manufacturing.
