• Represented major broker-dealers and other securities industry participants in numerous arbitration hearings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers and the New York Stock Exchange) and JAMS in a wide variety of employment matters and in customer claims including suitability, selling away, and misrepresentation claims.
• Represented investment firms in scores of customer arbitrations involving allegations of research analyst conflicts of interest.
• Represented a major investment firm in significant cases involving stock options brought by former WorldCom employees.
• Represented major investment firms in customer arbitrations involving a variety of securities, including high-yield bond funds, corporate bonds, and preferred stocks.

Commercial Litigation

Representations include:

• Coordinating matter for national client in which Greenberg Traurig attorneys around the country provide advice about the impact of COVID-related developments on the client's business.
• Prosecution of claims by government contractor for disaster recovery project monies owed arising out of Hurricane Ike.
• Defense of record company in cases under Copyright Act, with multiple rulings upheld on appeal.
• Assisted in appeal of city’s claim of governmental immunity in multimillion dollar contract litigation.
• Defense of project management company in AAA arbitration against claims for breach of contract and fraud.

Pro Bono Matters

• Representing Afghani clients seeking relief in the U.S. following U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
• Representing pro bono client in divorce proceeding.
• Representing client seeking asylum following persecution in his home country based on sexual orientation.
• Representing client seeking citizenship through marriage.
• Obtained permanent residency for multiple pro bono child clients through Kids In Need of Defense.
• Obtained T-Visa for pro bono client as victim of human trafficking.
• Participating in Survivor's Project, assisting survivors of trafficking or domestic violence in obtaining clemency.
