MIAMI – Feb. 9, 2022 – Sabrina R. Gallo, chair of Greenberg Traurig, P.A.’s Miami office Products Liability Practice and a shareholder in the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Health Care Litigation Practice, has been named to the South Florida Business Journal’s 2022 “Influential Business Women” list.
The annual Influential Business Women award highlights established business leaders in South Florida who have a strong record of leadership, performance, and innovation in their industries, plus meaningful community involvement. Honorees will be recognized at an awards luncheon program on April 1, 2022.
Gallo was recognized for her demonstrated leadership for clients, winning key matters in court for leading companies in the global medical device and pharmaceutical industries, and serving the South Florida community at large.
Considered a thought leader in health care litigation locally and nationally, Gallo is also a frequent speaker at South Florida Hospital Association events and at the prestigious ACI Women Leaders in Life Sciences Law conference. She has spoken on numerous topics, including gender bias in the courtroom and the importance of networking and building an effective team.
Gallo serves on the joint Board of Directors of the Overtown Youth Center and the HoneyShine Mentoring Program. For over 10 years, she has served as a board member of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s Florida Region. She is also co-chair of the States and Federal Courts Liaison Committee of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Additionally, Gallo serves on The Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee, and is actively involved with the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

At Greenberg Traurig, Gallo concentrates her practice on the representation and defense of products liability cases, with an emphasis on representing manufacturers of medical devices and pharmaceuticals in state and federal courts nationwide. She has experience managing individual, nationwide, and mass tort litigation involving a variety of medical devices including infusion and insulin pumps, mesh, vascular products, and other medical devices and implants, as well as pharmaceuticals including chemotherapy medications and hormone replacement therapy. She also regularly counsels manufacturers regarding review and drafting of appropriate warning language for product recalls, reporting and labeling, compliance with state and federal regulatory laws, Medicare Secondary Payer Act compliance and litigation, and other pre-litigation matter.
