South Florida Black Professionals Summit aims to address economic injustice

Coming near the tail end of a year that has further raised questions about injustice to African Americans, this year’s Black Professionals Summit in South Florida aims to provide answers.

Injustice — political, economic or otherwise — will take center stage at the Sept. 23 to 24 summit, which hopes to draw 200 students and professionals for workshops and networking events around the theme of “Thriving Beyond Borders.”

Now in its third year, the conference is designed to help professionals maximize their careers, business and lifestyle goals and provide a bridge for students transitioning from college to professional life.

The keynote address will be given by Jaret Davis, co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office and president-elect of the Beacon Council.
