Elevating Black Excellence: A Showcase for Black Partners

Attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will participate as panelists in Elevating Black Excellence: A Showcase for Black Partners, a full-day online event presented by the Black In-House Counsel Network (Network), on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET. The Network notes that the Elevating Black Excellence event was developed to showcase Black law firm partners before in-house counsel.
Greenberg Traurig attorneys will participate on the following panels:

• Atlanta Shareholder Terrence O. Davis will serve as a panelist on “Articulating the ESG Value Proposition” from 3:10 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. ET. Davis, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Investment Management Group and a member of the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance Practice, advises and counsels a wide range of registered investment companies, investment advisers, broker-dealers, and fund managers in connection with various matters arising under the federal securities laws, with a particular emphasis on the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Houston Shareholder Dwayne L. Mason will serve as a panelist on “IP Issues in the Metaverse: Protection, Jurisdiction and Enforcement” from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET. Mason serves as the head of Greenberg Traurig’s Texas Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. Mason’s practice focuses on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and technology-based commercial litigation. Mason also manages patent and trademark portfolios and assists companies in protecting and commercializing their intellectual property, including many transactional matters in the technology, media, life sciences, energy, and natural resources industries.
• Los Angeles Shareholder Hilary Sledge-Sarnor, of the firm’s Corporate Practice, will serve as a panelist on “Cryptocurrency Legislation and Web 3 Issues for All In-House Counsel” from 11:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. ET. Sledge-Sarnor has over 15 years of experience representing financial institutions, corporate borrowers, funds, and fund sponsors in a broad range of syndicated cross-border and domestic financings. She regularly provides counsel on secured transactions and UCC Article 9. Sledge-Sarnor regularly counsels foreign and U.S. financial institutions, as well as their holding companies.
