Greenberg Traurig Germany Elevates Four Attorneys From Its Own Ranks

Konradin Pleul, Oliver Markmann, Philipp Osteroth, and Silke Köhler strengthen the Labor, Corporate and Real Estate practices

Global business law firm Greenberg Traurig announces the elevation of four attorneys in its German office from its own ranks:

The elevations are retroactive to January 1, 2022, bringing the U.S. law firm's partnership in Germany to 24 shareholders and eight local partners. Since the opening of the German office in fall 2015, the firm has appointed a total of 14 new shareholders. The proportion of women in the partnership in Germany remains consistently above the market average at nearly 34 percent.

"The elevations underscore our steady growth and market presence as one of the leading international transactional law firms in Germany. We are particularly proud that our goal of continuously promoting young talent is bearing fruit: Once again, we were able to elevate four of our talented and successful associates," comments Peter Schorling, Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig in Germany.

With the elevation of Konradin Pleul, Greenberg Traurig Germany expands its special unit "GT Labor Lab", which was established in May 2019. The firm thus proves that original and comprehensive employment advice can be successfully combined with fully integrated transaction support. With its focus on works constitution law, corporate restructuring, and separation management, Konradin will further develop the GT Labor Lab in these fields.

Greenberg Traurig Germany strengthens its private equity practice with the elevation of Oliver Markmann in the corporate group. Oliver focuses on private equity investments and in particular on the high-growth equity market segment. He combines his extensive experience in transaction advice with his expertise in corporate and capital markets.

Philipp Osteroth has also been elevated to shareholder in the corporate group. With him, Greenberg Traurig Germany expands its M&A offering in the growth market Infrastructure 4.0 with a special focus on mobility and logistics. In these areas, Philipp Osteroth advises transactions and joint investments of infrastructure funds, private equity investors as well as infrastructure companies.

With the elevation of Silke Köhler to local partner in the real estate group, the firm further expands its full-service offering for the real estate industry. Silke Köhler advises national and international investors on all aspects of real estate – from acquisition to sale. She specializes in advising on real estate transactions as well as ongoing asset management.
