BOSTON – June 6, 2022 – Alison T. Holdway, a Litigation Practice associate at in the Boston office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has been selected as the 2022 Pro Bono Asylum Award honoree by the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project. She will be recognized at PAIR’s annual gala June 6.
Holdway is committed to pro bono legal work. She is currently representing a client through PAIR in dual-track asylum and special immigrant juvenile proceedings. She has represented multiple minors in immigration proceedings before the Immigration Court, state courts with jurisdiction over juveniles, and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. She also recently represented a client whose family was facing eviction after the client was denied the opportunity to intervene in the Housing Court case on behalf of their minor children. Holdway appealed to the Massachusetts Appeals Court and then Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, which ruled in the client’s favor.
In her litigation practice, Holdway has experience litigating False Claims Act, medical device products liability, patent infringement, breach of contract, unfair or deceptive business practices, and general commercial cases. She also has experience defending clients in white collar matters, including Department of Justice investigations, Securities and Exchange Commission investigations, state prosecutions, and internal investigations. In addition, she has deep legal writing experience and has drafted complex pleadings, motions, memoranda, and appellate briefs.
