PHILADELPHIA – March 15, 2023 – A team of attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Environmental Practice will present a series of panels at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Annual Environmental Law Forum. The forum will delve into unexplored areas of environmental law, current trends, cutting-edge concepts, and legislative and regulatory updates.
Shareholders Caleb J. Holmes and David G. Mandelbaum along with Associate Jared C. Slipman will present March 15 and 16 during the forum at the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
On March 15, Mandelbaum will moderate the “Planner’s Roundtable” event and fill in on the Environmental, Social, and Governance panel. On March 16, Slipman will present “Insurance: How to Insure the Uninsurable,” and Holmes will present “Site Remediation.”
The Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Annual Environmental Law Forum gathers attorneys in private practice and public service, engineers, consultants, professors, and scientists to network and debate on topics such as policy, climate, litigation, development, infrastructure, and more.
Holmes’ practice focuses on complex environmental litigation and environmental compliance. He has represented clients in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings. In his environmental litigation practice, Holmes often represents corporate clients in cost recovery, contribution, and government enforcement actions under Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
Mandelbaum represents clients facing problems under environmental laws. He regularly represents clients in lawsuits and has helped clients achieve satisfactory outcomes through regulatory negotiation or private transactions. A Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers, Mandelbaum teaches Superfund, and Oil and Gas Law in rotation at the Temple University Beasley School of Law as well as an environmental litigation course at Suffolk (Boston) Law School.
Slipman focuses his practice on environmental risk management and mitigation in matters concerning real estate development and in connection with large-scale corporate mergers and acquisitions. As part of his role, he aides in the process of negotiating, manuscripting, and obtaining bespoke insurance coverage for clients acquiring environmentally impacted real property.
