Advanced Data Privacy, Cybersecurity and TCPA Class Action Litigation 2023

PLI's Advanced Data Privacy, Cybersecurity and TCPA Class Action Litigation 2023 program will address forensic tutorial guides; will cover the major new cases and trends from the past year in the law of data privacy, security breach, latest issues in class certification in data privacy, cybersecurity and TCPA class action suits; ransomware litigation; and the unique litigation and class certification issues when shareholders and institutional investors file suit.

Greenberg Traurig's Ian C. Ballon, Co-Chair of the Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group, is Chair of the program and will deliver opening remarks before leading the "Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and TCPA Case Law and Litigation Trends – Year in Review" session. The session will cover the major new cases and trends from the past year in the law of data privacy, security breach and TCPA class action suits. Ballon will also moderate the in-house counsel panel, "Strategies for Defending a Company and Partnering with Outside Counsel."

Jena M. Valdetero, U.S. Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice, will be a speaker on the "Ransomware Litigation" panel. The panel will address unique legal, business, and process issues surrounding a ransomware attack and outline how these issues subsequently play out in class action litigation, including substantive and procedural law issues and how to value and settle ransomware cases.
