David represents institutional investors, private equity sponsors, developers, landlords, and borrowers in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, recapitalizations, and development matters involving a diverse range of commercial real estate assets. His practice spans numerous asset classes, including senior housing, student housing, medical office, data center, infrastructure, renewable energy, agricultural, and other commercial real estate properties. David has experience advising clients on complex portfolio and platform transactions, including large portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, institutional joint ventures, and large-scale portfolio recapitalizations.
In addition to his transactional practice, David advises clients on property-level and operational matters affecting commercial real estate assets, including title and survey issues, easements, access rights, development agreements, leasing matters, and other real estate diligence concerns. He has experience with projects involving renewable energy facilities, power generation assets, agricultural properties, and other infrastructure-related developments, and helps clients identify and approach real estate, title, survey, access, and development issues that arise in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development projects.

- Represented a private equity real estate sponsor in the disposition of a senior housing portfolio to a leading publicly traded healthcare REIT, through a series of related transactions.
- Represented a private equity real estate sponsor in the recapitalization of a senior housing platform through the formation of a joint venture with a leading global investment manager, involving a portfolio of 25 senior housing, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. Representation included negotiation of joint venture, acquisition, and financing matters in connection with the transaction.
- Represented a private equity real estate sponsor in the acquisition of a nationwide medical office portfolio consisting of approximately 300 properties from one of the largest owners and operators of healthcare real estate in the United States.
- Represented the seller in the disposition of a California data center asset to an affiliate of a leading global alternative asset manager and one of the world's largest real estate investors.
