Jennifer Kukla focuses her practice on real estate finance transactions, including the representation of investment banks, commercial banks, life insurance companies, regional and local banks, funds and other institutional lenders in virtually all aspects of complex commercial real estate finance transactions including permanent, bridge, mezzanine financings and split loan structures secured by all asset classes including retail, office, hotel, industrial, multifamily and mixed use. Jennifer also represents lenders in the origination and sale of multifamily mortgage loans to Fannie Mae and has significant experience in the origination of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) transactions. Jennifer has experience handling multiborrower, multiproperty, and multistate financings, tenants-in-common borrowing structures, affordable housing, cash management and ground leases. She also has experience in handling an array of commercial and residential real estate transactions including the acquisition of and disposition of real property, negotiated workouts, deed-in-lieu transactions, foreclosures, loan sales and other exit strategies for distressed investments.

  • Represented both lenders and borrowers in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of both secured and unsecured commercial financing transactions including syndicated financings, project finance, bridge, and subscription line loans.°
  • Negotiated and drafted office, retail, and industrial space leases, property management agreements, access agreements, ground leases, easements, and rooftop and cell tower arrangements.°
  • Represented and counseled low-income clients in North Texas on a variety of cases, including family law, guardianship, expunctions, nondisclosures, and estate planning.°
