Elizabeth A. Morehouse

Elizabeth Morehouse (Libby) represents employers in employment litigation and pre-litigation matters. She defends clients against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and violations of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Elizabeth also handles wage and hour disputes for businesses facing employment-related challenges, including class action and claims brought under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

Elizabeth drafts pleadings and motions, including answers, motions for summary judgment, and motions to stay litigation pending arbitration. She reviews and analyzes discovery materials to evaluate employment claims and develop defense strategies. Elizabeth conducts witness interviews as part of case investigations and collaborates with senior attorneys to prepare case assessment reports, mediation briefs, and settlement agreements. She propounds and responds to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. Elizabeth appears at case management conferences and participates in mediation sessions.
