Cameron J. Richards focuses his practice on public finance matters and representing special purpose local government matters. He represents clients as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters counsel, and issuers counsel as well as advising on all aspects of public finance transactions and serving as counsel to Colorado Special Districts. Cameron is experienced with all manner of ad valorem tax, special revenue, and certificate of participation financings for authorities, metropolitan districts, water and sanitation districts, recreation districts, library districts and other local governments. Cameron has represented issuers on Special Improvement District financings and Certificate of Participation financings. In addition, Cameron is experienced with special district formation and associate real estate matters. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, he served as general counsel to the Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board and Sterling Ranch Colorado Metropolitan Districts Nos. 1-7, public entities serving the Sterling Ranch planned development. This development is approved for 12,050 housing units plus commercial development.
