WASHINGTON, D.C. – Dec. 16, 2022 –Tricia A. Asaro, chair of the Albany Health Care & FDA Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, spoke on an American Bar Association National Managed Care Institute panel titled “Managing M&A Risk: Collaboration Between In-House Counsel, External Counsel, and Risk Consultants” Dec. 15. The Managed Care Institute is an educational symposium for attorneys in private practice, in government service, and in-house who work in the area of managed care and with risk-based health care entities of all types. Greenberg Traurig hosted the symposium in its Washington, D.C., office and was a supporting sponsor.
Asaro’s panel discussed mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions involving Managed Care Organizations, collaboration between stakeholders, divestitures, and risk transfer options to protect assets and capital in transactions.
Asaro focuses her practice in the areas of health care and government law and policy. She has broad experience representing health plans in business negotiations, regulatory compliance matters, and corporate governance issues. She also has wide-ranging experience handling health care transactions, particularly regulatory approval of changes in control of health care entities.
