Alana C. Kirkland focuses her practice on complex entertainment, media, technology, and intellectual property transactions with an emphasis on digital media distribution/media services and the licensing of music, videos, and other entertainment content. Alana has vast experience counseling clients on new and innovative ways to incorporate entertainment content into a broad array of media, including, but not limited to, film, radio, television programs, mobile applications, video games, and social media platforms. With the rise of the digital age, she also has experience drafting and negotiating digital distribution agreements to exploit content on new digital mediums with licensors such as record labels, music publishing companies, and performing rights organizations. Alana is also committed to giving back to the community as she provides pro bono legal services through organizations such as Georgia Lawyers for the Arts.

Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Alana practiced at another global law firm where she focused on advertising, marketing, technology, and privacy law, and she advised clients on issues such as FTC compliance for advertising and promotional matters, and the rights of publicity and privacy. Alana is a CIPP/US and CIPP/E-certified privacy professional.
