Sabrina R. Gallo Joins Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s National Board

MIAMI – Aug. 8, 2025 – Sabrina R. Gallo, chair of the Miami Product Liability & Mass Torts Litigation Group at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been appointed to serve on the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF)’s national board.

The DRIF is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the Diabetes Research Institute with the funding necessary to find a cure for diabetes, according to the organization. The DRIF’s national board comprises 22 nationally recognized business and professional leaders. Gallo’s board term took effect July 1.

“The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation has been important to my family since my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was only four years old. This personal connection has inspired me to support the foundation’s efforts to advance cure-focused research for the millions of families affected by diabetes,” Gallo said. “I’m honored to serve on the board and look forward to working with the other board members to help drive progress toward finding a cure.”

“Sabrina Gallo brings a tremendous combination of talent, intellect and compassion to our national board,” said Board Chairman William Fishlinger, founder, president and chairman of the board of Gramercy Risk Holdings, LLC and father of a daughter with type 1 diabetes. “Private philanthropy is more important now than it ever has been. As we continue looking to strengthen our board’s prominence and fundraising capabilities, we are thrilled to welcome Sabrina to the team.”

Gallo has served as a board member of the DRIF’s Florida Region for over 13 years. Additionally, she has served the South Florida community through affiliations with many organizations, including active participation in Honey Shine Mentoring Program, serving as former chair of its board of directors, as well as with United Way, the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Based in the firm’s Miami office, Gallo represents clients in product liability, toxic torts, class actions, and other complex litigation matters in federal and state courts. As a trial lawyer in multimillion-dollar litigation, she concentrates her practice on the representation and defense of products liability cases, including consumer and personal care products, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. She also regularly counsels manufacturers regarding review and drafting of appropriate warning language for product recalls, reporting and labeling, compliance with state and federal regulatory laws, Medicare Secondary Payer Act compliance and litigation, and other pre-litigation matters.

With over two decades of experience, she has been recognized by leading industry publications, including Chambers USA for Litigation: Product Liability (Florida) Band 1 ranking, Best Lawyers in America for Product Liability Litigation, and recommended by The Legal 500 United States based on her experience representing product manufacturers in litigation across the nation. She has also been named to the South Florida Business Journal’s “Influential Business Women” list.
