African Society of International Law (AfSIL) Conference

GT Associate Kike Aluko Wahutu led a fireside chat on the African Creative Industries entitled “Navigating Global Markets & Capturing Value” as Chair of the Advisory Board of the African Creative Economies (ACE) Initiative at the African Society of International Law (AfSIL) Conference on October 17 - 18, 2025. The session featured Mozambican artist and cultural innovator Moreira Chonguiça, who shared insights from his career across Mozambique and South Africa. The conference's theme, “Africa, Culture & International Law,” explored how global legal frameworks, including those governing trade, IP, and investment, can better support African talent and ensure creative value returns to local communities.
