42nd Annual Fall Institute on Intellectual Property Law

Greenberg Traurig is proud to sponsor the 42nd Annual Fall Institute on Intellectual Property Law, co-hosted by the University of Houston Law Center’s Institute for Intellectual Property & Information Law (IPIL) and the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association (HIPLA). The Institute brings together several hundred intellectual property professionals for continuing legal education on the latest developments and emerging issues in IP law. The 2026 program covers a range of topics, including patent litigation and prosecution, PTAB and Federal Circuit updates, copyright and trademark law, trade secrets, artificial intelligence, subject matter eligibility, and other current issues shaping the IP landscape.

Greenberg Traurig attorneys are also actively involved in the Institute. Dwayne Mason serves as a Program Selection Committee Member, Mark Chretien serves as President-Elect of HIPLA, and Kris Reichlen is a member of the conference faculty. Additionally, Aimee Housinger and Erica Kuntz will introduce Simon Tam and Joe X. Jiang of The Slants, who will be featured speakers at the Community IP Breakfast on Friday, September 18.
