Maciej Broniarek focuses his practice on intellectual property, new technologies, personal data protection, cybersecurity, as well as media and entertainment law. He has experience advising clients from the technology, banking, telecommunications, gaming, and e-commerce sectors. His practice includes projects involving trademarks, know-how, licensing arrangements, transfers of intellectual property rights, publishing agreements, and the implementation and use of AI tools in business operations. Maciej has also participated in projects related to the implementation of the DORA regulatory framework in the banking sector, including the review and negotiation of agreements with ICT service providers and the preparation of contractual provisions aimed at ensuring regulatory compliance. In addition, he has experience in privacy and cybersecurity matters, gained, among others, through work for one of the leading technology companies.

  • Participated in work for one of Poland's largest franchisors in connection with the use and transfer of trademarks and know-how before and after the transaction.°
  • Participated in work for an international video game production and publishing company in connection with a publishing agreement and the transfer of intellectual property as part of an intra-group transfer. °
  • Participated in work for one of the international telecommunications companies in connection with the impact of the use of AI tools on 50% of tax-deductible costs for employees.°
  • Advised foreign defense industry entities on entering the Polish market, including with respect to the operating model and obtaining the required licenses and permits.°
  • Advised on technology transfers and IP licensing in defense projects, ensuring the protection of know-how and regulatory compliance.°
  • Advised defense sector entities on the import of armaments.°
  • Participated in work relating to the implementation of DORA for a Polish bank. This involved verifying contracts with third-party ICT service providers for DORA compliance, coordinating contract analysis, negotiating with ICT service providers, analyzing vendor annexes and drafting appropriate contractual clauses to secure favorable terms of cooperation and ensure compliance with DORA regulations.°
  • Participated in work for one of the world's leading technology companies, dealing with issues relating to privacy law and cybersecurity within the secondment.°
