Godric C. Shoesmith is based in New York and practices primarily in corporate finance with a focus on international capital markets, including the representation of underwriters, arrangers, initial purchasers, issuers and sponsors in connection with public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities both into and outside of the United States. He has wide-ranging experience in acquisition and leveraged finance transactions, and with cross-border and other complex securities offerings. He also represents companies in connection with liability management, capital structure reorganisations, securities law compliance and disclosure matters.

  • Represented Cyfrowy Polsat S.A. in relation to the acquisition of Metelem Holding Company Limited and the PLN 3 billion refinancing of its existing facilities and bonds.
  • Represented, Deutsche Bank and Numis Securities, the joint sponsors and the underwriters of the £490 million IPO of Polypipe Group plc on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

  • Represented Blackstone Group International Limited and Gerresheimer Holdings GmbH in connection with Gerresheimer Holdings GmbH’s offering of its €150 million 7.875% Senior Notes due 2015.°

  • Represented Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and MTU Aero Engines Investment GmbH with respect to MTU’s initial public offering of 31 million Ordinary Shares.°
