At a time of heightened focus on data privacy, security, and the evolving legal landscape surrounding the use and transfer of personal information, The Sedona Conference will host its Working Group 11 (WG11) Midyear Meeting on October 20–21 in New Orleans. The meeting will bring together privacy and data security professionals to examine emerging legal and regulatory developments, share perspectives, and provide input on developing WG11 commentaries and projects addressing key issues in data security and privacy law.
Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Gretchen Ramos will serve as a dialogue leader for the panel, "Onward Transfer of Consumer PII in M&A and Bankruptcy Contexts." The session will focus on the latest draft of a WG11 Commentary examining significant legal and privacy considerations associated with the onward transfer of personal data during M&A transactions and bankruptcy proceedings.
The Sedona Conference is a leading nonprofit legal think tank that brings together judges, attorneys, academics, and regulators to advance law and policy in areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and complex litigation.
