Firm Surpasses 1,500 Lawyer Mark
PHOENIX, AZ -- December 16, 2005 -- Jeffrey H. Verbin, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig LLP Phoenix office, the largest U.S. law firm with offices in Arizona, is pleased to announce that the firm has recently expanded with offices in Sacramento, California and Houston, Texas. With these new offices, Greenberg Traurig has 28 full-service locations, four international alliances and more than 1,500 lawyers. The firm is the eighth largest firm in the country.
"Many of our Arizona clients have business in California and Texas, so these new offices are excellent additions," said Verbin. "The presence of well-established attorneys and lobbyists in Sacramento provides us with more ways to better serve our clients. With the addition of Houston- the nation's fourth largest city- we are now serving 11 of the top 15 metropolitan markets in the U.S."
Greenberg Traurig's Sacramento office began with 15 attorneys and lobbyists from the firm formerly known as Livingston & Mattesich Law Corporation, founded in 1982. The group is well known statewide for its reputation of effectiveness and integrity; The Los Angeles Times described Livingston & Mattesich as one of the more influential law and lobbyist firms in Sacramento. The Sacramento Bee called it one of the Capitol's elite.
The Houston office will initially be comprised of 17 professionals, to be supplemented by additional lawyers in the near future, who will focus on Greenberg Traurig's key practice areas, including energy; corporate and securities; real estate; litigation; reorganization; restructuring; public finance; and governmental affairs.
