"We have had the privilege, for more than 20 years, of representing world-class clients in this remarkably dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. As our clients continue to grow globally, we recognized our ability to provide quality international support was vital to their ongoing success. Greenberg Traurig's unparalleled depth and breadth matches that of our clients. We have had the opportunity to work with many Greenberg Traurig lawyers over the years and are delighted to have the opportunity to join them," said Mark Tratos, co-founder of Quirk & Tratos and Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig's Las Vegas office.

"We are extremely pleased that we could add this talented group. Our strategy is to create the best and highest quality delivery system for legal services in the United States and in key foreign locations by establishing offices in high growth states as well as key financial and governmental cities. Las Vegas has been the fastest growing metropolitan area in America for over a decade. This move is an important element in our expansion strategy, " said Cesar L. Alvarez, President and Chief Executive Officer of Greenberg Traurig.

By joining forces with Quirk & Tratos, Greenberg Traurig will benefit by establishing an office with a core group of 13 highly skilled and respected attorneys in an area with a booming economy, a vibrant, expanding entertainment base and great opportunities for growth. Quirk & Tratos clients will now have access to Greenberg Traurig's global platform and the full range of services that only an international firm of its size and scope can provide.

In addition to extensive experience in prosecuting, procuring and protecting the full range of intellectual property assets for clients, Quirk & Tratos has played an important role in helping to shape intellectual property law, both by drafting legislation and trying cases that test the law. The firm is one of the few with a national reputation in the area of art law. This experience runs the gamut from examining and analyzing the provenance of world-class impressionists and post-impressionist paintings to structuring and negotiating major traveling art exhibitions as well as agreements for gallery consignments, museum acquisitions, architectural renderings, photographic licensing, and more. Clients in this area include major visual artists and collectors, art institutions, galleries and museums.
