Patrick Fortelka is an associate in Greenberg Traurig’s Sacramento office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice. He focuses his practice on consumer protection and complex litigation, with particular emphasis on defending manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in Proposition 65 enforcement actions and related consumer products claims.

Patrick regularly represents clients in Prop 65 matters involving alleged chemical exposures, including leading case assessment, exposure analysis, regulatory strategy, dispositive motion practice, and resolution through negotiation or litigation. His work frequently intersects with broader consumer protection issues, including false or misleading labeling, advertising, and “greenwashing” claims, and he assists clients in navigating compliance obligations and litigation risk in highly regulated markets.

In addition to his Prop 65 practice, Patrick defends consumer product companies against allegations of deceptive or misleading advertising claims, including actions involving California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) and Unfair Competition Law (UCL). He brings a detail‑oriented and practical approach to litigation strategy, informed by his experience working closely with in‑house teams, expert consultants, and co‑counsel to develop efficient, defensible strategies to approach to high‑stakes consumer claims.
