Thayane Machin Martinez is an associate in the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office. She focuses on international disputes, including international commercial and investment arbitration and related litigation. Thayane represents clients in complex matters before state and federal courts, including applications under 28 U.S.C. §1782, and advises on U.S. discovery for use in foreign proceedings.

Having studied in both Brazil and Florida, Thayane brings experience with civil law and common law systems. Her dual training allows her to navigate sophisticated cross-border disputes with sensitivity to differing legal frameworks and cultural contexts..

Thayane plays an active role in the international arbitration community and serves as Vice-Chair of Young MIAS, the young practitioners’ division of the Miami International Arbitration Society. In this capacity, she contributes to initiatives that support practitioner development and engagement within Miami’s arbitration community. Her work supports the region’s continued growth as a prominent venue for international dispute resolution and helps cultivate the next generation of arbitration professionals. Her involvement reflects her commitment to ensuring that clients benefit from informed judgment, strategic perspective, and a deep understanding of global dispute-resolution trends. She speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English, enabling her to effectively assist clients in multijurisdictional disputes.
