Andrew Sterling is a shareholder in the London office’s Private Equity Real Estate team. His practice focusses on advising sponsors and managers on real estate M&A and joint ventures across all real estate asset classes together with advising. In particular, he has a focus on the wider living and hospitality sectors where he advises on the full transaction lifecycle from structuring through to sale – including a specialism in negotiating hotel management agreements.

  • Advising BlackRock (as investment adviser to the British Airways Pension Fund) on the disposal of its 25.5% interest in the Sainsbury’s Reversion Portfolio with an underlying value of GBP 784 million.
  • Advising Paloma Capital on its GBP 253m GP led secondary of the 3.6m square foot industrial Purdey Portfolio alongside Partners Group.
  • Advising Patrizia on one of the UK's first corporate sales of a fully stabilized PRS scheme.
  • Advising a joint venture between Tristan Capital Partners and Cording Real Estate Group on the £245m acquisition of the Holborn Links Estate, a 2.5 acre freehold estate in central London.
  • Advising on the acquisition of a UK based self-storage platform and establishment of joint venture arrangements in respect of the same.
