Andrew Sterling is a shareholder in the London office’s Private Equity Real Estate team. His practice focusses on advising sponsors and managers on real estate M&A and joint ventures across all real estate asset classes together with advising. In particular, he has a focus on the wider living and hospitality sectors where he advises on the full transaction lifecycle from structuring through to sale – including a specialism in negotiating hotel management agreements.

- Advising Lincoln MGT, a joint venture between Lincoln Property Company and MGT Investment Management on its joint venture with Baupost Group as part of the GBP 750m Station Hill, Reading redevelopment.
- Advising Zenprop on its recapitalisation of luxury later living operator Auriens by Oaktree Capital.
- Advising the Greater Manchester Pension Fund on its GBP 150 million investment into the Bruntwood SciTech platform alongside Legal & General and Bruntwood.

- Advising Crosstree Real Estate Partners on their £330m acquisition of the Argyll Executive Office Group.
- Advising Macquarie on their pan-European acquisition and merger of the 12,000+ bed student operating platforms Milestone and BaseStack.
- Advising a joint venture between Valor Real Estate Partners and AIG on the EUR 1 billion sale of their pan-European urban logistics portfolio, comprising approximately 4.5 million sq ft of real estate in the UK, France, and Germany.
- Advising BlackRock (as investment adviser to the British Airways Pension Fund) on the disposal of its 25.5% interest in the Sainsbury’s Reversion Portfolio with an underlying value of GBP 784 million.
- Advising Paloma Capital on its GBP 253m GP led secondary of the 3.6m square foot industrial Purdey Portfolio alongside Partners Group.
- Advising Patrizia on one of the UK's first corporate sales of a fully stabilized PRS scheme.
- Advising a joint venture between Tristan Capital Partners and Cording Real Estate Group on the £245m acquisition of the Holborn Links Estate, a 2.5 acre freehold estate in central London.
- Advising on the acquisition of a UK based self-storage platform and establishment of joint venture arrangements in respect of the same.
- Advising Alterx on its acquisition of affordable housing registered provider, Zen Housing.
- Advising Ardent Group on its acquisition of the corporate structure which owned The Royal Exchange, City of London.
