Meredith P. Yates is an associate in Greenberg Traurig’s Orlando office, focusing on complex commercial litigation, including appeals. She has experience litigating and defending against a wide range of claims before state and federal trial and appellate courts. She actively collaborates with businesses to tackle sophisticated legal challenges.
Prior to joining the firm, Meredith served as a law clerk for the Honorable Aileen M. Cannon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Honorable Allison J. Rushing of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Meredith was also previously a complex litigation and government investigations associate at another global law firm.
Meredith graduated with High Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was honored as a member of the Order of the Coif, and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. During law school, Meredith interned for the Honorable Richard E. Myers, II of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. She was a member of her law school’s trial team and served on the North Carolina Law Review and North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology.
She is admitted to practice law in Florida, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia.
Meredith serves as a Pro Bono Coordinator for the firm’s Orlando office.
