NCREIF is the leading provider of investment performance indices and transparent data for US commercial properties. Members come together two times each year during NCREIF Conferences, and several times between conferences via Webinar to share information and address vital industry issues in a collegial environment.

Greenberg Traurig, Shareholder, James O. Lang will present as part of the panel "Opportunity Zones 1.0 to 2.0:  Evolution, Impact, and What's Next".   This panel explores the evolution and impact of Opportunity Zones (OZs), starting with a retrospective look at the original program (OZ 1.0) and its effects on both urban communities and investors since its inception. The discussion will then shift to the recent changes brought by the July federal spending bill, which made the program permanent and introduced new rules—essentially launching "OZ 2.0." Panelists will analyze lessons learned from the first iteration, assess how these zones have influenced economic development and investment patterns, and provide insights into the expanded possibilities and implications of the new regulations. Attendees can expect a comprehensive overview of how Opportunity Zones have shaped our cities, what has worked (and what hasn’t), and what the future holds under the updated program.
